Why do museums have permanent artworks in a specific space and time? Can the museum content be more dynamic with the help of a digital interface? How does the digital interface shape the form of the space?
DESIGN INTENSION
A new museum that bridges the gap between the physical and digital space as an extension to Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum.
SITE ANALYSIS
Dr.Bhau Daji Lad Museum is located in Byculla, Mumbai.
The site is surrounded by lush green vegetation which comprises of the Byculla zoo and botanical garden.
The site is located near the periphery of the main highway.
There are two grounds parallel to each other in which one is used for sports and the other for cultural events
The site intervention is surrounded by lush vegetation, sports ground, and a view of the center of the city.

DIGITAL CONTENT
Experiencing artwork through a digital medium with multiple interfaces where the artwork evolves with time but at the same time gets archived into the digital interface which provides the user flexibility in consuming content created as well as creating new ways of interacting with users and artworks.
MUSEUM AS
LEVELS OF ACTIVATED SPACES
The museum induces experience at different levels of elevations and depressions, creating a space that generates multiple ways of movement within itself. It creates a spatiality where one can meander within these spaces which tend to offer different spatial experiences. The porosity in the space keeps the user connected to the space and the existing context.
this collage tries to express that in the digital interface how can one reshuffle spaces and create a new meaning.
this collage expresses the experience of digital and physical space merging together at different levels of elevations.
this collage works with elements Bharat Bhavan, Neue stasgalleria, and Jantar Mantar creating multiple elevations and depressions, making different experiences at each space.
